Step 1: Eligibility (5 semesters of service so must join Sophomore year.)
Turn in Fees and Applications
Attend at least 50% of the meetings
Step 2: “I want to go to this event”
Submit a physical event proposal to Mr. Mapplebeck or through the link
Get approval for the event
Go to the event and have the coordinator sign your hour log( posted on wcscience.com)
Step 3: Tutoring
Submit one event proposal for all tutoring event(s)
Go tutor on campus( @ library, in Mapple’s room, etc)
Get hour log signed by the teacher in charge
Let your sophomore friends know that they are still eligible to join NHS.
NHS requires 5 semesters of service therefore next semester is their last opportunity.
9 hours per semester ( 18 hours per year)
You can share up to 5 hours with CSF
Turn in proposals at least 2 days prior to event
2 fundraising events( In-club Event) per year
Donations, food fair, club rush, etc.
At least 4 out of 18 hours from tutoring
Mandatory 2 hours of tutoring per semester
You can’t share tutoring hours with CSF
Minimum 50% meeting attendance

Conlin Tree Planting & Volunteer Day
Saturday, February 29th 9:00 am to 1:00 pm at Conlin Sports Complex, 7895 Freeport Blvd, Sacramento.
Join District 7 Parks Commission Devin Lavelle and members of the Pocket Little League in a tree planting event. City of Sacramento Parks Arborist Jesus Munoz will lead the tree planting and equipment will be provided by City of Sacramento. Snacks will be provided by Parks Commissioner Devin Lavelle. Land Park Volunteer Corps Workday
Come join members of the community for the first Land Park Volunteer Corps workday of 2020 in William Land Park on Saturday, March 7th at 9 am. Come out to help trim, clean, weed, mulch and otherwise spiff up Land Park. Grab a pair of gloves and pitch in (you’ll even get a breakfast boost from Espresso Metro at the beginning of the day and a free BBQ lunch after you finish at 12 noon). The group meets directly behind Fairytale Town (3901 Land Park Drive). Groups and individuals are welcome.
